Product Description

Ferritic Stainless Steels

Ferritic Stainless Steels are iron-chromium alloys characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, and superior stress corrosion cracking resistance. With a body-centered cubic (BCC) structure, they contain little or no nickel, offering an economical alternative to austenitic stainless steels while maintaining reliable performance in moderate to aggressive environments.

Features

  • Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and oxidation, especially in chloride and acidic environments.

  • High Thermal Conductivity: Better heat transfer properties than austenitic grades.

  • Magnetic Properties: Naturally magnetic due to their ferritic crystal structure.

  • Good Formability and Ductility: Easy to process, weld, and form into complex shapes.

  • Low Thermal Expansion: Provides dimensional stability under temperature fluctuations.
